We've been thinking. What do we need more of? Caring and Fun right?

We need to bring a bit of happiness and normalcy as much as possible to our kids and ourselves.

We at Fort Collins Macaroni Kid and Loveland Macaroni Kid are partnering with some local businesses to do something special.

What? You may ask? We are going to Boo some local families!

We are hoping to bring some cheer and Halloween goodies to some local families, and in turn, have those families Boo a friend or two of their own. I know some families are eager to attend CDC compliant events and others still don't want to venture out yet. For those we want to surprise them with a Boo.

This project is a distanced/no contact event and will focus on uplifting the community like early in the pandemic when the bears and hearts were put into the windows, combined with the drive by birthdays.

How do we Boo someone?
•Fill a Halloween Bucket full of goodies (candy individually wrapped, gluten free, nut free and allergy free, glow sticks, stickers, toys and Knick knacks etc)
•Place the "I’ve Been Boo’d' printouts in the basket
•Leave the basket on the doorstep, ring the doorbell and run!
We may not run to fast LOL

How do you Pass A Boo On?
•The recipient opens the door to see they have been boo’ed. Kids are delighted by the surprise bucket full of goodies!  The instructions inside explain to them that they must now make a basket to two and continue to Boo.
In our experience they love this more than the candy.
•They will then place the other hand out in the bucket in their window which tells everyone else in the neighborhood that they have been boo’ed and not to leave another basket.

The idea is that the fun of boo’ing continues till Halloween night. (or it can be turned into a "Thankful Thanksgiving Basket" and continued through Thanksgiving.)

Where will we be Boo’ing? Berthoud, Fort Collins, Loveland, Wellington, Timnath, Windsor, Johnstown, Milliken depending on how many sponsors we get to support creating the buckets.
The families will be chosen randomly, and the buckets will be delivered during the third and fourth weeks of October.

Who doesn't love a fun friendly surprise on their doorstep?

If you are a local business and would like to participate please follow this link for more information. We have limited spaces so act fast!
