Five Fort Collins Breakfast Spots We Love

My family loves to go out to breakfast. We have tried all kinds of places. One thing for sure is that there are a bunch of great places in and around Fort Collins to eat a great breakfast.

No matter what kind of breakfast you’re in the mood for -- the sweet or the savory -- you can find it in Fort Collins.

Plus … breakfast has bacon!

I am! So I've rounded up my family's choices for the top five breakfast spots in the Fort Collins area, along with the reasons that my family loves them. 

Lucile's 

400 S Meldrum, Fort Collins; 970-224-5464

Hours: 7-2 Monday - Friday, 8-2 Saturday & Sunday Call ahead seating Monday - Friday

What we love: Jam packed with people all the time but worth the wait. Creole style menu with adult and child beverages with a flair for authentic dishes. The staff is great and the food is incredible. Try the Beignets, served in a set of 4, and the Pain Perdu. If you like try the Rice Pudding Porridge for your sweet tooth or the Eggs Pontchartrain for something savory.

La Creperie & French Bakery

2722 S College Ave, Fort Collins; 970-224-2640

Hours: Tuesday - Sunday 7:30am - 2:30pm 

What we love: This is the place to be for crepe's! They have sweet and savory. Get a Cochette Brioche or a French Burrito. Try a Galette with your choice of Chicken & spinach, Professor Steve, California, Four cheese, or stick with the basic. Maybe Peach stuffed French toast is your cup of tea? They have so many choices I have a hard time choosing! 

FoCo Cafe

225 Maple Street Fort Collins 970-670-0735

Hours: Monday-Friday from 12-2pm

What we love: We are a cafe & non-profit of shared responsibility that offers healthy and delicious meals to all people on a donation basis. It's based on "Pay it Forward". If you can give more, please pay it forward. If you have a little less, pay what you can. This Non-profit has helped out so many. Most of their help is volunteers. 

Cafe Bluebird

524 W Laurel, Fort Collins; 970-484-7755

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 2pm Saturday and Sunday 7am - 2pm

What we love: We love the light open layout and the friendly staff. Try the Happy Henhouse or the Princess Leia maybe the Apolo scrambler if your hungry for eggs. I love the Dark Chocolate Blintz! They have crepes, pancakes, waffles, a fruit skillet and coffee cake too. 

The Silver Grill Cafe

218 Walnut Street, Fort Collins; 970-484-4656

Hours: Open Daily 7am-2pm

What we love: A Home town favorite and always busy, but worth the wait too! The Banana bread French Bread is FABULOUS. Cinnamon Rolls are always just perfect with cinnamon and frosting and world famous! They have a whole array of rolls from the authentic version to mini, Mini and large pecan cinnamon rolls too. French toast and fritters. Vegan Huevos rancheros, Salmon Egg Benedict, Tamale & Eggs, Blueberry short short cut and more choices on the menu keep it fresh every time you go.
