Description
In honor of Mother’s Day, mothers will enjoy free admission to the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures from 11 am to 5 pm Saturday, May 10.
In the Main Gallery, It’s About TIME explores the theories and portrayals of past, present, and future. The exhibition runs through May 24 and is funded in part by the City of Fort Collins’ Fort Fund.
The Global Village Museum has four galleries, two rotating and two permanent. The rotating Main Gallery hosts three to four exhibitions per year, and the rotating Hall Gallery highlights local artists and organizations.
The permanent galleries are Mundoville and John E. Roberts Village Arts.
The former showcases international folk art as well as the world in miniature. The latter is home to world folk art, fine art, and artifacts from Africa and Asia that were donated by local collectors and founding members. The Museum also features the Losel Doll House with figurines handcrafted by Tibetan monks in exile in India, an international music room, and a gnome scavenger hunt for children.
The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call 970-221-4600.
