Christian Core Academy was established in 2007 by a group of parents with the vision of a school that had two main tenets: to provide a strong academic base and to reach the core of students’ hearts with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Christiancoreacademy.org
CCA staff point our students to Christ in every aspect of their education as a source of new life, new thinking and new behavior as well as the source of their identity. In essence, we are not interested in raising moral students who conform because of pressure, but students who have an authentic relationship with Christ and live from their identity in Him.
Wrong thinking produces wrong conclusions. CCA staff train the minds of our students using God’s truth about themselves, their fellow humans and the world around them. Challenging academic content and a comprehensive Christian worldview curriculum allows our students to begin with a correct base in order to come to the right conclusions.
CCA as a school teaches our students to be Christ centered and others focused. We continually strive to have our students look beyond themselves and see how to minister and love other people.
CCA is a school for students in pre-k through 8th grade with our curriculum based on the core knowledge sequence. Christiancoreacademy.org/why-choose-cca/core-knowledge-curriculum/
CCA operates on a non-traditional schedule of 4 half-days in the classroom with the daily assigned work completed at home each afternoon. Friday is a day to continue practicing at home what was taught in class that week. This type of schedule provides for more efficient use of time, more time with family, and more time to pursue areas of interest or talent for students. CCA provides small class sizes because we understand the importance of providing individualized oversight for our students emotionally, spiritually, and academically. We strive to be aware of where our students are in all of these areas in order to help or encourage them as needed. Maintaining small class sizes allows us to have this important insight. Class sizes are capped based on grades with a maximum of 12 students.
