"History and Culture
Timnath Elementary School is proud of its history of educating diverse student populations over the past 115 years. Timnath uses a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) approach in our learning culture. Timnath is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)-focused school that emphasizes 21st century skills. The Timnath school community enjoys annual and seasonal traditions and has an active PTO.
Academics and Activities
Timnath implements PSD’s standards-based curriculum while enriching STEM content areas with a transdisciplinary approach. High expectations for all students are maintained while differentiating instruction for individual student needs. Timnath provides certified Gifted and Talented, Literacy, English Language Acquisition, and Integrated Services teachers who offer small group interventions, and all students attend weekly STEM class in our Science Lab, Tech Lab or Media Center.
Before and after-school enrichment clubs include Spanish, Legos, Fitness, Star Lab (planetarium), Art, Science Matters, and Odyssey of the Mind (OM). BASE Camp provides onsite before and after school care."
