History and Culture
Tavelli Elementary School, is a S.T.E.A.M. (Science,Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) focus school. The school's goal is to prepare students to be 21st century learners. High-quality teaching staff and strong collaborative teams foster a learning environment rich in meaningful, real life and hands-on activities. PBIS, health, nutrition and fitness are programs used to support academics.
Academics and Activities
Tavelli Elementary prides itself on their diverse population. Differentiated instruction and Inquiry Based Learning is emphasized while maintaining high expectations for all students. Art, music, P.E., science and computer lab classes give students the opportunity to not only be creative, but to also think critically. These specials classes also enable students to make curriculum connections across subject areas with grade level standards. Tavelli has programs to support gifted and talented, ELA, Integrated Services, literacy, math and science. The science lab provides rich learning opportunities in which students learn to solve real life problems, present findings, and explore the world in which they live. Dream Team, Odyssey of the Mind, Musical Theatre, Little Kids Rock, Percussion, Science Lab, Running Club, Battle of the Books and 3D Printing are just a few of the extracurricular clubs and programs that are available for our students."
