This is a year-round event and camps program for those with brain injuries at any age. 


2021 Schedule

We are proud of our multi-day programs, one-day recreation programs, and numerous social events.  Participants will experience the best of Colorado with caring, professional and highly experienced staff. The activities include hiking, climbing, a ropes course, cycling, rafting, and social gatherings and outings. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and ice fishing. Survivors of all levels of recovery from anywhere in the US are welcome to attend.

Challenge by Choice #1
July 11-16, $2,390

River rafting, ropes course, hand cycling, wall climbing, theme dance. Program staffed by volunteers, registered nurse, and Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) experienced staff/instructors & interns. Accommodation is at the Scott Griffith Lodge in Breckenridge.

Ruby & Horse Thief Canyons River Excursion
August 30-September 3, $1070

Join us for a gentle float downstream and enjoy the scenery you only thought existed. You will be travel by van to Grand Junction and put into the water there.  Rumor has it you might see a bald eagle or two. You will experience team building, rafting, camping on shore cooking, fishing, swimming, splashing, and star gazing. The journey begins and ends at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC). Accommodations at the beginning and end of your trip will be at the Scott Griffith Lodge in Breckenridge.

Creative Minds
September 10-13, $1090

Cooking, hiking, field trips, poetry, painting, journaling, movement, karaoke, laughter, dancing and socializing.  Program staffed by volunteers, registered nurse, and Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) experienced staff/instructors and interns. Accommodation is at the Scott Griffith Lodge in Breckenridge.

One-day Programs

BOEC Day
Come join BIAC at Breckenridge for a day with BOEC where we will get to enjoy a day in the mountains with a couple of activity choices to engage in. You can choose from a day on the lake paddling and fishing or a fun filled time on the ropes course!
