"Saint Joseph Catholic School offers three different early childhood programs; a three-year old preschool class (two days per week), a four-year-old pre-kindergarten class (three days per week), and a four-year-old junior kindergarten class (five days per week). These programs are designed to give children a first experience of learning within a faith-filled and loving context.
Preschool: The three year old preschool class meets from 7:45-11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday and focuses on social interaction through group related activities. Each month concentrates on a theme and incorporates activities, art, and circle time around that theme. The journey into literature begins through storytelling, puppets, and imaginary play. Children are introduced to the concepts of letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. They work on fine motor skills such as cutting and coloring and use different art techniques. Music, creative movement, structured learning centers, religion, and free play are a big part of every school day.
Pre-Kindergarten/Junior Kindergarten: The four and five year old pre-kindergarten class meets from 7:45 - 2:45 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the junior kindergarten class meets from 7:45 - 2:45 p.m. Monday - Friday. Emphasis is placed on kindergarten readiness. Each week a core reading readiness curriculum is taught that focuses on an alphabet letter and relational concepts. Science, math, social studies, language, and circle time are explored daily through hands-on activities. Music, art, computer lab, and visits to our STEM Discovery Lab are planned throughout the curriculum to develop a balanced learning environment. Students eat lunch at school and continue learning with assigned enrichment activities such as library, science, Spanish, religion, academic centers, and creative movement.
"We LOVE Saint Joseph Catholic School! We have two kiddos who have been at Saint Joe's since preschool and we are amazed at the community of support that we see by sending our kids to this great school. The Catholic faith is integrated not only through religion class and at weekly adoration and Mass but daily as well throughout the children's normal routines. Our kids have come home from school on some days with in-depth questions about our faith and it has inspired numerous conversations around the dinner table which has been a positive influence on our entire family! Saint Joseph Catholic School also excels academically and there are many opportunities for parents and friends of the school to get involved which leads to invested families and a community of support!" -Katie Buttermore
"A great school! Our child loves it here and is thriving academically, socially, and spiritually." -Cecilia White

"We love everything Saint Joseph Catholic School offers our children! The education is excellent, the teachers are inspiring, the sense of community is comforting, and we have Jesus Christ on a cross looking down on our children in every classroom. It is a truly exceptional school! We take great delight in knowing our children are receiving the best education possible in Fort Collins, but we feel a true sense of spiritual comfort knowing they are being raised with Christ in their daily school life." -Jillian Antinora"
