Experience Unique Uganda at Museum Presentation

Known as the “Pearl of Africa,” Uganda is a magical country with the largest number of primates on the African continent and the highest number of mountain gorillas worldwide. 

Learn more as Experience Unique Uganda is presented at 6 pm Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.

Andrew Wegoye, founder of Hornbill Treks & Safaris based in Kampala, Uganda, will outline the country’s unspoiled nature, massive wildlife reserves, and incredible landscapes. Since 2017, the African-born and family-owned company has carefully crafted life-changing journeys that take travelers to the heart of the continent’s remote wilderness and vibrant cultures. 

Their team of experts know the region, understand the safari experience, and are committed to designing the trip of a lifetime for their clients.Hornbill Treks & Safaris is also committed to supporting the local environment and communities. 

The company’s dedicated efforts include partnering with local schools, planting trees, and educating the next generation of conservationists. 

The presentation is hosted by the Museum’s travel partner, Sari Gartner with Outdoor Travel Adventures, in coordination with the Museum’s Global Adventures club. 

The Global Adventures club, with leaders Daniel and Alice Owen, is an interesting and interactive forum to learn and share information about the world and the many opportunities to discover, explore, and protect it.

Tickets to the presentation are $10 per person, and advance reservations are requested at globalvillagemuseum.org

The Museum’s doors open at 5 pm, and Ugandan items will be available for purchase in the Museum’s gift shop. Refreshments, including wine, will be served. 

The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
