Each year families in America are faced with the reality of the rising cost of medical care.
Some families are faced with the difficult decision between paying household expenses or providing medical care for a sick child. When your child is sick, the last thing you should be worrying about is how you’re going to pay for their care. You should be able to focus solely on taking care of your child and getting them well. And that’s why The B.A.B.Y. Foundation was formed.
The B.A.B.Y Foundation was founded in 2003 and supports families in Northern Colorado who find
themselves under financial stress due to a child’s illness, medical condition, needed therapies, or mental
treatment, despite having insurance. Once a family is approved for assistance, we pay bills directly to
providers.

Who We Help
We’ve helped hundreds of local Northern Colorado families since 2003! Here are the stories of just a few
of those families:
- Penelope was diagnosed with several conditions and required Open Heart Surgery at birth,as well as a lengthy hospital stay.
- Malia was treated for third degree burns at the burn center at Children’s in Denver after being struck by a firework on the 4 th of July.
- At 25 months old, Rosie was diagnosed with a granulosa cell tumor on her ovaries. Doctors were able to remove the entire cancerous tumor and Rosie has recovered completely, although she will continue to need follow-up scans as there is a 10% chance of regrowth. Today, at 2 years post diagnosis, Rosie is still cancer free!
- After several days of high fever and low oxygen levels, Grayson was taken to the hospital and admitted for Bronchiolitis/Pneumonia.

More About Us and Our Gala:
The B.A.B.Y. Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit. We are 100% volunteer-powered and funded completely by private donations and sponsors. The majority of our funding is raised at our annual Spring Gala and from generous sponsors. All funds raised go directly back into our community to support local families. The B.A.B.Y. Foundation has a partnership with the McKee Wellness Foundation, which serves as our fiscal agent. This means that the McKee Wellness Foundation takes care of our book keeping and ensures that our funds are well managed, at no expense to our organization or our recipient families.
