Fall Flavors Captured In Warm Stuffed Apples

By Melissa Shrader Editor Publisher Fort Collins Macaroni Kid September 28, 2023

Who doesn't love an apple?

Especially when it's baked and filled with fall ingredients like brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon?

We love this dessert with pecans but you can change any ingredient out as you like to create something your family will love.

Our Recipe:

4 Apples We use Red Delicious but you can use your favorite

4 Tbsp Brown Sugar

4 tsp Pecans chopped roughly (you can chop them finely if you want less texture)

2 Tbsp Butter

A sprinkle of cinnamon on each before they go in the oven.

Wash apples then core them. Only core them part of the way through, leave a little to the bottom so the ingredients don't fall through.

Put a layer of brown sugar in the center of the apple. Then add some pecans. Layer with brown sugar then pecans again until the center is 3/4 full or slightly more. Then top with 1/2 Tbsp of butter. Sprinkle the top of the apples with cinnamon.

Place in Oven at 350 Degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until the apple is tender.

Serve it warm and enjoy!

My daughter likes to have some vanilla bean ice cream with it.
