Have I told you how much I love doing events. Attending them as a vendor, creating and hosting them. It's something I truly love. I can't tell you how much.
One of my favorite events to host is the Preschool & Kids activity fair. I love to see the whole community come out to participate! Seeing families come and enjoy the fun and learn about the different community resources and schools makes me feel like I'm truly helping. Which is why I love hosting events so much. I love helping families find exactly the right resource. Sometimes I even help families fill a need they didn't realize they had.
I've been to a lot of fun events and last Sunday the 13th was the best event I've been to in a long time. It was the Loveland Farmer's market. It was the Watermelon and Kids day event. There was a watermelon eating contest, dancing and tons of fun at the market. The City Of Loveland Farmer's Market always has something great for kids with a splash pad and picnic area near a playground. However it wasn't just because it was the farmers market, but because there was a group of kids there selling their own goods!
The Children's Entrepreneur Market of Colorado. It was so fun to see kids brining their goods setting up a booth and selling! The kids did everything themselves. They made or bought their goods for sale or resale. They set up their stands, did sales pitches and took money. All on their own (with some instruction from parents - IF needed). The Children's Entrepreneur Market is an amazing program. If you ever have a chance to be part of it I highly recommend it. Attending the market is just as much fun as being part of it.
Some of these kids are starting their own businesses, and very successfully I might add. As a Mom it warms my heart to see the kids making books, candles, sweet treats, dried fruit, jewelry, so many great things! There were even some creative 3D printed fidget toys, beautiful drawings and so much more!
The Children's Entrepreneur Market has a couple more markets available to attend this year if you are interested in seeing what it's all about. There will be many more next year to either attend, or be a part of.
