COVID’s Impact on Children’s Mental Health & How LearningRx Can Help

By Brainy Moms With Guest Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge August 27, 2021

LearningRX Fort Collins offers opportunities to help your child raise their IQ, reading ability, speed, attention, and more. We took our daughter to LearningRX Fort Collins when she was in Kindergarten. Her IQ, attention, focus, and confidence grew.

Her concerns in school now are more due to fear. Fear of what students think of her, how her teachers view her, and how she does her work. She is more fearful of what people around her think than she should be. That's hard to avoid though. She's a pretty girl and kind. Just like all kids (although I'm partial). She's spoken of being depressed and of being bullied and she's only 11.

Brainy Moms from LearningRx holds a podcast where they discuss a variety of subjects. This week speaks to Children's Mental Health.

In this episode of the Brainy Moms parenting podcast, Dr. Amy & Teri interview Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge: psychologist, mental health trailblazer, founder of the Global Institute of Children’s Mental Health, a media expert who is changing the way we view and treat children’s mental health, and author of the book, It’s Gonna Be OK!

Dr. Roseann shares how the pandemic has worsened the mental health crisis for our children and adolescents and what we are seeing as a result. She talks about the impact of social isolation and how children are struggling with regulating their emotions and their basic abilities to communicate with others. The good news? There are ways we can help. Dr. Roseann offers some fantastic tips for parents and reassures us that despite the current challenges, it’s going to be okay!
