"Our daughter has been attending Saint Joseph Catholic Preschool for the past two years and has grown so much. She has made new friends and feels confident and comfortable when I drop her off in the morning. All of her teachers are warm and welcoming - and they have the energy to keep up with her! She has begun to write letters and draw patterns and shapes, and she has learned new songs, stories, and rhymes. Most importantly, she enjoys the company of her classmates and teachers and loves going to school."

It's known as the preschool penthouse and is one of the favorite classrooms at Saint Joseph Catholic School. And for good reason. The expansive space is bright, colorful, and so much fun, with plenty of room to move around and spaces to explore. It's here where three and four-year-olds get to learn and play.
"We've worked very hard to create a warm and welcoming classroom environment," said Shelly Randazzo, preschool director. "Our students love it!"
Saint Joseph Catholic School offers three early childhood education programs where children can receive a positive first experience of learning within a faith-filled, loving context.
- Preschool 3 year old: 7:45-11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday
- Pre-Kindergarten 4 year old: 7:45-2:45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Junior Kindergarten 4-5 year old: 7:45-2:45 p.m. Monday - Friday
Components of each program include faith formation, although students do not need to be Catholic to attend, social and emotional development, language arts and literacy, math and science exploration, creative arts, music and theater, technology, beginning Spanish, health, safety, and physical education.
The 4 year olds go to specials like the Discovery Lab, library, music, and Mass. They participate in the Advent and Spring Music Programs, host a Thanksgiving Play and Tea, and a Mother's Day Princess Party. And they have Cougar Buddies, older students who serve as big brothers and sisters throughout the year. "Our pre-kindergarteners love spending time with their Cougar Buddies," said Mrs. Randazzo. "It's such a special relationship."
