Loveland’s Winter Wonderlights Launches 2018 Holiday Season

Nov. 16 with Debut Performances, Free Activities and More Lights

As the weather gets cooler, Visit Loveland Colorado has announced the return of its holiday light installation, Winter Wonderlights. This walkable lighting attraction situated in the award-winning Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra has moved to Friday and Saturday nights, launching the weekend before Thanksgiving. The event is set to kick off 5 p.m. Friday, November 16, running through January 1, 2019

Guests of the attraction will be mesmerized as they stroll through the sculpture park, which has been transformed for this joyful time of year. Each night, visitors will revel in more than 60,000 holiday string lights, twinkling bulbs, LED mappable snowflakes, illuminated African stone sculptures, a 20’ LED mappable Christmas tree and a six-song music and light show each evening starting at 5 p.m. In addition to nightly lighting attractions, special weekend programming will run Friday and Saturday evenings from Nov. 16 - Dec. 15 featuring Colorado’s largest inflatable igloo, weekend food and retail vendors, prize giveaways and exceptional performances from dance and musical acts from across northern Colorado. 

 The opening weekend celebration features: 

  • Entertainment/Performances
    • Spinphony’s first holiday performance, debuting its new Christmas album. (Friday)
    • Northern Colorado’s first look at Djembe Jive, bringing lively African drumming performances to Chapungu Sculpture Park. (Saturday)
    • Community performances by Loveland Orchestra and Roosevelt High School Rhythm Bandits (Saturday)
  • Attractions
    • RJ’s Amazing Entertainment will be providing FREE face painting Friday night and meet-and-greets with the Ice Queen and Ice Princess Friday and Saturday night.
    • An inflatable Santa selfie station outside the Igloo
    • Unicorn ornament-making station with the Loveland Public Library inside the igloo (Friday) 
    • The Human Bean Coffee Truck, debuting the Winter Wonderlatte
  • Giveaways
    • Glow giveaways while supplies last
    • Tickets to a Colorado Eagles hockey game 
    • Prize giveaways will be announced from the stage every hour for shopping and restaurant gift certificates to establishments throughout Loveland 

Winter Wonderlights is proudly presented by Visit Loveland and encourages all visitors to Colorado to consider Loveland as a one-stop-destination to shop, eat, play and stay during the cheerful season.

This holiday lighting event is free and open to the public. Canned food donations to support the Larimer County Food Bank or new toy donations to support Santa Cops of Larimer County will be accepted nightly. Directions to Winter Wonderlights: Take I-25 North, Exit 257, turn east on Hwy. 34, left on Centerra Parkway, left on Kendall Parkway, turn left into The Promenade Shops at Centerra. Chapungu Sculpture Park is located on the backside of Macy’s (east side). Public parking onsite.

Holiday shopping is right around the corner. Winter Wonderlights is within walking distance to northern Colorado’s shopping hub with more than 70 shops and restaurants located at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, the MetroLux Movie Theatre and the outdoor Ice Rink. Just minutes away, on the west side of I-25, additional holiday shopping can be found at The Marketplace at Centerra, the Outlets at Loveland and historic downtown Loveland.
