The "Elements" of Downtown Fort Collins Foodie Walk!

With Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements

March 23, 2015
Have you ever wanted to create professional looking pictures and videos?  Are you like me and have no experience at any of this?  Are you reluctant to even try?  I was offered a great opportunity to work with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements.  The products blew my mind!  There are no limits to what you can do with these tools!  I knew that I would have to buckle down and work on learning the products and thought that I would spend hours, days, weeks trying to figure out the simple things.  I was wrong.
I could take a picture from my archives (easily imported into the Adobe Photoshop Elements program) and sort the pictures by people, place, event etc. And I can remove red eye while importing the photos! The program has wonderful tutorials under eLive which offers everything from simple and elaborate ideas to how to's and things that will help you create incredible projects!  The program is incredibly intuitive.
My favorite new feature is the "Guided" option. You can do everything in this from crop and remove red eye to making a person look like they are jumping out of the picture into another picture!  Even someone like me with NO experience at all!  The project I have here is just a small sampling of the Photo and Camera Effects from under the Guided option.  I used the Quick option to enhance the colors of the photos and then went NUTS with all the cool Guided features!  I am so excited!  I used the photo effects of the color pop and then moved into Camera Effects with Lomo Camera Effects, Vignettes, The Orton Effect, and Tilt-Shift!  I kept is simple for my first presentation. I went so fast that I don't really remember all the effects I used but I do remember I used the option to remove red eye and blemishes. Once all the pictures I was intending to use were complete, I went into the Create option.  There I chose a Slideshow background and some music to accompany the slideshow. Once complete I sent the finished work directly to my Facebook page from the Create option.
I chose something that happens Monthly in Downtown Fort Collins the is a favorite event for everyone.  I did not work much in the Expert option but it has everything a pro would want to use.
Downtown Fort Collins Foodie Walk which features local businesses open late to taste their unique specialties.  The Welsh Rabbit Cheese Shop is a wonderful stop!  They offered some unique cheeses (of course) and jellies! Rocky Mountain Olive Oil Company makes sampling oils and vinegarettes like going to a wine tasting. Truly elegant and informative!  I love the garlic infused oil!  Kilwin's Chocolate & Ice Cream is to die for!  Who doesn't love either chocolate or ice cream or BOTH!  The Cupboard is a treasure trove of kitchen items and unique food offerings with samplings at the back of the store on Foodie Walk night!  Crescendo/Vom Foss offers wonderful oils and unique and familiar spices, as well as pastas and more!
This project was a wonderful way to capture the Foodie Walk in an exciting and creative way.  I hope you like the short slideshow!
Watch for posts on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter!  I had some fun with family photos that I'll be posting throughout the week!
