From YMCA to The Lyric We Have Some Great Options!

PSD is out all Thanksgiving week and we all need some extra help with keeping our kids entertained and safe all day so we can work. 

Here are a few options available for us: 


For Kids 1-5


Parents Day Out First United Methodist Church. This option is for littles  - visit their site here.

Young Peoples Learning Center is also for littles -  visit their site here


For Kids, Tweens and Teens (And a couple that cover toddler to teen). 




Boys and Girls Club is a great place for older elementary age kids. Visit to see the options available for you in Fort Collins, Loveland, Estes Park, and Wellington. 




The Lyric comes to the rescue! Parents, the Lyric is here for you!!! Due to Poudre School District's decision to cancel school for the whole week of Thanksgiving, they are showing cartoons! Every day Thanksgiving week (except Thanksgiving itself, they are CLOSED) come get your CARTOON FIX with FREE CARTOONS from 10am until 12pm with unlimited $5 cereal bar. They'll be running toons in two theaters!! Classic (Looney Toons, etc) and Recent Retro! (80s/90s). Kitchen opens at 11 am. Please help keep our community safe by wearing your mask!! ❤

YMCA is available in Thompson and Weld Counties for toddler to teen. This is one for those who live in other cities and work in Fort Collins.

Also, they are doing something brand new in December. On Dec 12, they are hosting a Kids Day Out at all of our Ys. Kids can come to the Y for a Polar Express-themed day of fun, including a hot chocolate bar and ornament making, and parents can do holiday shopping or prepping (or just enjoy a day to themselves). Remember these resources and Information from PSD: 


Any currently enrolled PSD student may get free meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 22-23 at Eyestone Elementary School in Wellington; or Rocky Mountain High School, Fossil Ridge High School, Poudre High School or Fort Collins High School in Fort Collins. Each day, they can expect to pick up lunch with breakfast for the next day. Meals will not be served Nov. 24-26. There will also be mobile meal buses parked at some mobile home communities.


AlphaBEST will provide childcare from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 22-24 at O’Dea and Werner elementary schools in Fort Collins. Services will not be available Nov. 25-26. Families who have not used AlphaBEST before can sign up for some or all days. Visit www.alphabest.org/poudreco/ for more information.


All activities, extracurriculars, events and athletics (competitions and practices) are canceled Nov. 22-23. Practices will happen as planned, unless otherwise communicated by coaches, Nov. 24, 26 and 27.
The Nov. 23 Board of Education meetings will proceed, as planned.
