By Melissa Shrader Editor/Publisher Fort Collins Macaroni Kid November 22, 2021

WELCOME TO PUBLISHER'S CORNER

We usually publish on Mondays but this week we ran into some technical difficulties.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Time changes, leaves flying in the wind, snow coming, eventually. It's Fall break and we have kids at home! Crafts, recipes and more can be found in our archives as well as on home page. Visit Pinterest and Facebook for more fun!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I am truly thankful for you, our community, but most of all I'm thankful for friends and family. Many of you have been subscribers from the beginning and many of you are new to MacaroniKID. Know this. I know many of you personally and I would love to know more of you personally too. I truly love to know my subscribers and I consider you friends, fellow parents, and peers. I have to say that when I began to do MacaroniKID it was totally new to me. I was excited and nervous. I still get so excited when I'm planning events and writing articles! And I still get nervous when I plan events and write articles LOL. It's like I am putting so much of myself into them that I'm inviting you into my MacaroniKid Home and life. Kow this. You are always welcome. And I am thankful and grateful for you.

This year is still a unique year for gatherings, gifts, shipping, supply chain issues, raise in cost of living and just everything in general.

It's a great time to do something unique and different. We have a few ideas that will make this year special from Thanksgiving through New Years.

Consider doing the following instead of buying something from the big box stores.

Write something special from the heart

A phone call

Send a heartfelt letter or home made card

A simple visit can make someone's day or visit with some goodies!

Make something from the heart, bake something, paint something be creative and show your love

These are some great ways to show someone you care without breaking the bank or having to worry about shipping and supply.

We are so busy we are looking for an intern! If you know of a student who would like to help out with adding events please let them know we would love the help. If you or someone you know is interested please let us know. You can contact me Melissa at melissas@macaronikidcom and put Assistant in the subject.

What are we up to?

As things change with the CDC COVID guidelines and local guidelines events may still be canceled or changed to meet those guidelines. Keep an eye out I will be adding events as quickly as possible. However, If you know of an event or have an event you want to add please feel free to do so. I get notifications of events to approve before they post.

Post it on our calendar at  https://fortcollins.macaronikid.com/events/submit

https://loveland.macaronikid.com/events/submit

Don't forget to check out Facebook too for other events that have been popping up randomly since the State has changed the Stay at home quarantine to the Safer at the home guideline.

If you have other things you want to see Mac Kid do drop me an email.

If you want to partner with Mac Kid I'd love to hear from you.

Remember with any event, If the weather looks questionable, - Always check in with the event itself to be sure the event is still on! You can email me as well. ESPECIALLY IN SPRING AND FALL. Now that COVID has come please comply with the COVID guidelines requested by each establishment and organizer. If you have a question about their policies please contact them directly. COVID Guidelines change regularly, so be sure to make sure that an event is still compliant and not canceled.  We will update events regularly however we can't catch everything.

If you have the newsletter you only have part of the fun! I post on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram with holiday and everyday crafts, recipes, special offers, contests, news, and new events. (see the tabs on the right or at the bottom to visit the social site)

Stay safe, Stay healthy, Love, Live and Be Fierce for what you believe,
