By Melissa Shrader Editor/Publisher Fort Collins Macaroni Kid July 28, 2021

WELCOME TO PUBLISHER'S CORNER!

This week we are adding another giveaway. It's for subscribers 18 and older but that's the only requirement. So make sure you enter for the Dayspring Dash in Windsor on September 25 and the New Giveaway for Immersive Van Gogh Coming to Denver Sept. 30. Entry for the Dayspring Dash giveaway ends August 20th and entry for the Immersive Van Gogh giveaway ends August 8th.  I have a list of items for giveaways coming soon too. We will have some great books (Natasha Wing), and some great tools too like Osmo! I will also be bringing you some events hosted by Fort Collins and Loveland Macaroni Kid and our wonderful Sponsors!

There are some fun small events this week that will be amazing! The Lorax Escape Challenge at Garbage Garage Education Center. You need to find clues to help the Once-ler find ways to help the Lorax and our planet. Urban Homestead Tour 2021 is coming this weekend! One of my favorites.  Take a trip back in time with a ride on the Fort Collins Trolley Saturdays or Sundays. This one is a new one for us! The Mustang Mountain Coaster in Estes Park looks amazing! We are going to try it out ASAP!

I'm also ready to bring out the Back To School Guide this FRIDAY 7/30/2021! Several schools are listed and more are coming in! If you would like to be in the Back To School Guide or know someone who is a good fit please fill out this form or forward this to them.

On that note, we would love your opinion. Please let us know what you love and what you would like to change.

Please feel free to share your opinion either by filling out this form or by emailing me directly at melissas@macaronikid.com.

What are we up to?

With the lift of the Mask Mandate, we have seen a jump in events! Yay! Keep in mind that each event has its own rules and guidelines for attendance. As things change with the CDC COVID guidelines and local guidelines events may still be canceled or changed to meet those guidelines. Keep an eye out I will be adding events as quickly as possible. However, If you know of an event or have an event you want to add please feel free to do so. I get notifications of events to approve before they post.

Post it on our calendar at  https://fortcollins.macaronikid.com/events/submit

https://loveland.macaronikid.com/events/submit

Don't forget to check out Facebook too for other events that have been popping up randomly since the State has changed the Stay at home quarantine to the Safer at home guideline.

If you have other things you want to see Mac Kid do drop me an email.

If you want to partner with Mac Kid I'd love to hear from you.

Remember with any event, If the weather looks questionable, - Always check in with the event itself to be sure the event is still on! You can email me as well. ESPECIALLY IN SPRING AND FALL. Now that COVID has come please comply with the COVID guidelines requested by each establishment and organizer. If you have a question about their policies please contact them directly. COVID Guidelines change regularly too so be sure to make sure that an event is still compliant and that it is not canceled.  We will update events regularly however we can't catch everything.

If you have the newsletter you only have part of the fun! I post on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram with holiday and everyday crafts, recipes, special offers, contests, news, and new events. (see the tabs on the right or at the bottom to visit the social site)

Stay safe, Stay healthy, Love, Live and Be Fierce for what you believe,
