Find Your Family Fun. It's Women's History Month. Who Inspires You?

By Melissa Shrader Editor/Publisher Fort Collins Macaroni Kid March 8, 2021

WELCOME TO PUBLISHER'S CORNER!

Ah, spring is in the air and we are itching to start planting. I've been hearing the birds on my morning walks and I LOVE it! Our family is growing as families do. We had a celebration over the weekend to send off our niece and her fiance to Arizona to their new home! In September we will be celebrating Alysa and Tyler's marriage. We are excited for our daughter Kaity to see her oldest niece get married! They are planning a special role for her at the wedding!

We are finalizing the Summer Camp Guide. And we have some fun recipes, experiments, and more coming this month.

Who are your favorite women in history? There are so many women who have led the way for us to stand tall and follow our own paths. Pioneers in all walks of life. No matter the color, religion or other beliefs, these women have seen something that needed to be done or changed and taken the path to improving the situation. No matter what the situation may be.

My role models change all the time. I have my staples Audrey Hepburn, Maya Angelo, Amanda Gorman, and so many more I just can't list them all. My mom and mother-in-law, Terah Watterson, Jennifer Lentz, Robin Hughes, there are so many I can't list them all.

I found a few wonderful resources that give a wonderful glimpse into many strong women.

The calendar is slowly beginning to repopulate with in-person events and we will keep virtual events too. Many of the usual events we would normally see this year have been canceled or reimagined and will not resume again till next year. Keep an eye out I will be verifying events asap and regularly.

We will update you as we get information. Most updates will happen on Facebook and here.

Online Events and Gatherings that are open to all are welcome on our calendar.
