Find Your Family Valentines Day Fun

By Melissa Shrader Editor/Publisher Fort Collins Macaroni Kid February 7, 2021

Valentine's Day is Next Sunday! Are you ready? We have some great ideas for everyone in the family. There is a guide full of all kinds of ideas for gifts, crafts, and recipes to surprise your kids or your sweetie with. Valentine's cookies, Heart eggs in toast, jewelry and romance, making homemade cards, and more.

I'm creating construction paper hearts with messages and taping them to my daughter's bedroom door each morning. I've gotten together some great gifts for friends. Since we are homeschooling this year I've put together some gift bags to drop at friends' doors to celebrate the holiday and to let everyone know that they are loved. We are putting together some extra special gifts for neighbors and grandparents. We have a neighbor who recently lost her husband just before Christmas. The gentleman was one of Santa's helpers. He would visit with my daughter and they would talk about Christmas and elves. It will be her first Valentine's without him and we wanted to make sure she knows she's loved.

Do you have someone special in your neighborhood that may need a bit of extra cheer this holiday? There are so many ways to show someone that you care without knocking on their door, or by just putting something special together and dropping a gift at their door.

NOCO Virtual Farmers Market has more than food. They have great gifts too. It's so easy to find something pay, and have it delivered to someone special. If you want something different you can order some food and have it delivered. Pick their favorite local business and surprise them with something special. Not feeling food or gifts? Make something yourself and drop it off on their doorstep. Anything you choose will be a wonderful surprise.

Isn't that just what we need right now? A bit of a surprise. A reminder to those we care about that they are loved.

We have more wonderful Preschools to share with you.

Visit our Preschool Guide here. It will grow as we get more participants and information to pass along.

We have so many great schools for all ages and preschool is where it all begins laying the foundation.

Have a wonderful week!

If you have any questions for any of the schools or any other subjects please don't hesitate to contact me at
